Brass-based imitation gold leaf (also called Dutch Gold or Schlagmetal) that will tarnish over time. Requires a protective sealer after gilding. Each book contains 25 leaves at 5.5" x 5.5", covering approximately 5 sq ft.
Patent leaf comes mounted on tissue paper, allowing you to remove one leaf at a time without a gilder's tip. The leaf stays on the tissue until pressed onto your prepared surface. Ideal for outdoor work and flat surfaces where loose leaf would be difficult to manage. Not suitable for water gilding.
