Manetti Brand – Italian 12 kt. white gold leaf in ribbon form. This 20-meter master roll features individual leaves measuring 5/8" × 4 1/8" (104mm × 104mm) on a continuous roll approximately 67 feet long.

Ribbon leaf differs from patent leaf in construction and application. While patent leaf is pressed onto tissue, ribbon leaf is wax-adhered to lightweight paper during the rolling process. This design makes it ideal for oil or synthetic sizing on flat surfaces. The paper backing prevents the leaf from settling into ornate details or recessed areas, making it best suited for smooth, even applications.

Each master roll consists of 4-1/8 inch square leaves placed with 2mm overlaps for continuous coverage. Ribbon gold leaf requires proper storage—maintain moderate temperature and humidity levels. Dry, warm conditions may cause the leaf to loosen from the paper, while hot, humid environments can cause it to adhere too tightly, affecting workability.
