What is Patent Gold Leaf?
Also known as transfer leaf, patent gold is mounted on special tissue paper using a pressure process. Unlike loose leaf, it comes pre-positioned between protective rouged paper, allowing you to remove one leaf at a time without a gilder's tip. The tissue backing stays intact until you press the leaf onto your prepared surface.

Best Uses:
Patent leaf excels for outdoor applications and challenging conditions where loose leaf would be unmanageable. It's ideal for flat surfaces but not recommended for water gilding techniques.

Storage & Care:
Maintain 80% humidity in a plastic-wrapped environment to preserve the tissue paper's moisture balance. Avoid dry, warm conditions that can loosen the leaf, or excessively hot, humid environments that cause over-adhesion. Store in cool, dry conditions or refrigerate if needed to restore proper mounting.
