This oversized metal leaf is 6 1/4" square instead of the standard 5.5" square. This matches  the ribbon metal leaf square size.

Composition Gold Leaf, also referred to as Imitation Gold Leaf, Dutch Gold, Dutch Metal and Schlagmetal, is imitation gold leaf made from brass, a combination of copper and zinc. Composition Leaf will tarnish and requires a protective sealer upon completion of gilded surface.Each leaf is 6 1/4" x 6 1/4" square. Approx. coverage is 100 sqft per pack. We offer a variety of leaf colors to suit the needs of your specific project.

Loose leaf - A book of loose leaf is assembled by placing each piece of imitation gold leaf between pieces of thin rouged paper. The gilder can then remove one leaf at a time without disturbing the remaining leaves. It is removed from the book with a gilder's tip, a flat natural hair brush.
