This Ribbon Leaf differs from patent leaf by being wax-adhered rather than pressed onto tissue, making it suitable for flat surfaces using oil or synthetic sizing. The paper backing ensures the gold does not settle into intricate crevices. Standard master rolls are approximately 67 feet long with a 2mm overlap between leaves. Proper storage is crucial, as fluctuations in temperature and humidity can cause the leaf to loosen or stick too firmly to the paper.
