Premium ribbon gold leaf from Manetti, crafted in Italy. This 20-meter master roll features individual leaves measuring 2" × 4 1/8" (104mm × 104mm), ideal for gilding flat surfaces with oil or synthetic sizing.

Ribbon leaf differs from patent leaf in construction—individual gold leaves are adhered to continuous lightweight paper using wax rather than pressed onto tissue. The paper backing makes it perfect for smooth applications but limits use in ornate crevices or detailed recesses.

Each standard roll is 104mm wide and approximately 67 feet long, with leaves slightly overlapped for seamless coverage. Store in stable temperature and humidity conditions to maintain leaf integrity—excessive dryness may loosen the leaf, while high heat and humidity can cause over-adhesion to the paper backing.
