Ribbon leaf is engineered for flat surfaces using oil or synthetic sizing. Unlike patent leaf, which is pressed onto tissue, ribbon leaf's wax-bonded construction and paper backing make it ideal for broad, even applications while preventing penetration into fine details or recessed areas.
